Hi! My name is Sandy. I am a research assistant working on information extraction from late medieval charters at the University of Graz. Prior to joining the University of Graz, I did an engineering stint in information extraction at the University of California, Berkeley. This was followed by a brief research experience, which consisted of looking into the state-of-the-art of Arabic named and relational entity extraction, at the American University of Beirut. |
From September 2019 until November 2020, I worked on identifying and tackling challenges in the Arabic automatic speech recognition field, at the American University of Beirut. Prior to joining AUB, I worked on a research project which aspires to optimize the process of constructing the speech corpus of unit selection synthesizers, at the University of Rennes I. |
My formal learning path resulted in receiving a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Lebanese University in 2014, and then graduating first in class with a master's degree in Computer Science from the Lebanese University and the University of Toulouse III in 2016. |
